KARACHI, July 24: Three ships to load and offload containers and chemicals were accommodated berths at QICT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Six ships, Corina, Maersk Georgia, Chem Jasmine, Spirit-II, Oriental Miho and Makran, were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, crude oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 100,000 tons comprising 80,000 tons of import and 20,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Chem Jasmine and Corina left the port while Oriental Miho and Maersk Georgia were due to depart.
