LAHORE, July 23: Three robbers took away cash, including Canadian dollars, and other valuables worth over Rs300,000 in Sattukatla on Monday. Agha Ahsan told the police that three armed men barged into his house at Revenue Housing Society, held up the inmates and took away Rs30,000 and Canadian dollars in cash and 20-tola gold ornaments.

Three gangsters burst into Zubair Shafeeq’s place at D-III in Sattukatla from where they fled with cash, jewellery and three digital cameras worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

At Sabzazar’s Hasan Town, two gun-toting men stormed into the house of a real estate agent and took away cash, jewellery and six files of plots situated in Gawadar worth millions.

Amir told the police he was away from the house when the incident occurred and the intruders gave a sound thrashing to his wife.

Sadar SP Nizam Shahid said Amir owned 2.5-marla house in a narrow alley and circumstantial evidence did not confirm that robbers took away files worth millions. He said Amir told the police that he dealt in real estate in Defence and was about to shift his residence to some other place.

The SP said Amir did not tell the exact loss so far and the FIR would be lodged with the consent of the victim.

Two robbers entered the pharmacy of Khalil at Ghaas Mandi and took away Rs40,000 in cash and valuables. The Shalimar SHO, however, said thieves stole Rs40,000 in cash from the shop in the absence of the owner.

Two men came to Kashif and his wife near Chungi in Mughalpura and deprived them of Rs12,000, jewellery and a cell phone.

Four robbers stopped a citizen at Kot Khwaja Saeed and demanded cash and valuables. On resistance, they gave a sound beating to him and took away cash and cell phone. The duty officer did not confirm the incident.
