ISLAMABAD, July 23: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Monday said that the government was focusing on higher education to enable Pakistan compete in the knowledge-based world.
He was talking to the outgoing rector of National University of Science and Technology (Nust) Lt-General (retired) Shujjat Hussain who paid him farewell call on at the Prime Minister’s House.
The Prime Minister said that Nust had played major role in promoting higher education especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering, medicine, business and information technology.
Nust has set high standards of academic excellence in education and has produced excellent professionals contributing towards various fields, the prime minister said.—PPI
