PESHAWAR, July 21: The NWFP government on Saturday ordered promotions and reshuffling of several medical officers holding managerial posts in various public sector health institutions.

A notification issued by the Establishment and Administration Department (E&AD) said that the competent authority, on recommendations of the Provincial Selection Board, had promoted seven senior medical officers from Grade 19 to Grade 20 on a regular basis.

They are: Dr Mussarat Khan, Dr Shad Ali Khattak, Dr Farhatullah, Dr Alamgir Khan, Dr Umar Khan, Dr Fazal Mahmood and Dr Alamgir Khan.

The government has transferred Dr Mussarat Khan, Blood Bank Officer of the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), Peshawar, and posted him as the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) at the same facility.

Dr Shad Ali Khattak, the SMO of the DHQ Hospital, Kohat, has been transferred and posted as the Executive District Officer (Health) Kohat.

Dr Farhatullah, Deputy Director of the PHSA, Peshawar, has been transferred as the SMO of the Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH), Peshawar.

Dr Umar Khan, the Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital, Charsadda, has been transferred as the MS of the City Hospital, Kohat Road, Peshawar.

Dr Mohammad Nawaz, Deputy Executive District Officer, Health, Charsadda, has been shifted as the MS, DHQ Hospital, Charsadda, in his own pay and scale.

Dr Alamgir Khan, Deputy Dean of the Postgraduate Medical Institute, Peshawar, has been directed to report to the Health Department, NWFP, for further posting.

Dr Farooq Ahmad, the SMO of the KTH, Peshawar, has been transferred and posted as the MS, Sarhad Hospital for Mental Disease, Peshawar.

Dr Liaqat Khan, MS of the DHQ Hospital, Mardan, has been made the SMO of the Saidu Teaching Hospital, Swat. Dr Muhammad Younis, the Project Director (Health) of the Afghan Refugees, NWFP, has been made the MS of the Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital, Bannu. Dr Alamgir Khan, the SMO of the DHQ Hospital, Mardan, has been transferred as the SMO of the KTH, Peshawar, and Dr Adil Marjan, Executive District Officer (Health) Kohat as the SMO, Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar.

Dr Abdul Hameed Afridi, MS of the City Hospital, Kohat Road, Peshawar, has been transferred and posted as the SMO, LRH, Peshawar. Dr Fazal Qayyum, Principal of the DHDC, Chitral, has been made the Director of Public Health, Directorate of Health Services, NWFP. Dr Muhammad Sher Khan, the SMO of the KDA Hospital, Kohat, has been made the MS of the KDA Hospital, Kohat, and Dr Muhammad, the SMO of the Saidu Teaching Hospital, Swat, has been transferred and posted as the MS of the same hospital.
