Cracker blast creates scare

NAWABSHAH, July 19: A fire cracker explosion in meat market near Sabzi Mandi created scare and pandemonium on Thursday. The explosion sent police, bomb disposal squad and personnel of law enforcing agencies rushing to the area.

The squad collected splinters of the cracker for laboratory examination while TPO Syed Riaz Shah said that perhaps the explosion was at creating panic.

GASTRO: More than 100 patients of gastroenteritis reported at different hospitals of the district on Thursday.

Over 85 were reported in rural health centres, including 40 in Umer Sethar village, 12 in Buchheri, two in Mehar Jamali, 10 in Shahpur Jehanian, five in Doulatpur, two in Daur, nine in Qazi Ahmed and one in Nawab Wali Mohammad.—Correspondent
