DERA GHAZI KHAN, July 15: A Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) has found everything in order at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) except for the cleanliness and the dilapidated building of the emergency ward’s operation theatre.

CMIT senior member Maj Tariq Mehmood Mazari (retired) paid a `surprise visit’ to the hospital to address the public complaints regarding lack of medical facilities.

Mr Mazari, accompanied by district government’s protocol officer Jabbar Khan, inspected all wards and found everything to his entire `satisfaction’ which was quite contrary to what the public complaints about.

Taking a note of heaps of medical/surgical waste in and around the hospital building, he directed the administration to place dustbins in wards and corridors besides safely removing the hospital waste without delay.

He also ordered to repair the cracks developed in the operation theatre of an emergency ward.

It may be mentioned that the operation theatre, which remains closed, has especially been opened for the inspection.

Medical Superintendent Dr Sadiq along with his team of doctors also presented a charter of demand regarding the provision of ambulances, dialyses machines, sanctioning of a neurosurgeon post and recruitment of staff in different departments.
