NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 14: Lawyers on Saturday held two separate demonstrations in Bhirya against the investigation police. Lawyers of Taluka Bar Moro led by Ghulamullah Memon, Imtiaz Jalbani and Subhan Ali Zardari staged demonstration and boycotted court proceedings for an hour.

They complained that the investigation police Moro were delaying the arrest of accused nominated in an FIR lodged by lawyer Subhan Ali for kidnapping and injuring his three-year old daughter.

They accused the police of supporting, instead of arresting the accused. They warned of widening their protest if police did not arrest the accused within 48 hours.

People belonging to Mari tribe of Jamal Mari village near Bhirya demonstrated outside the press club against police for delaying arrest of Umeruddin’s murderers.

Led by Ghulam Rasool, Gulzar and Mohammad Mari, brother and sons of the deceased killed about five days back in the village warned of self-immolation outside the SP Investigation office if accused were not arrested in two days.

According to reports, Mumtaz Ali 26 son of Punhal Khan Kalhoro committed suicide due to some domestic problem.

Body of the deceased was brought to the Taluka Hospital Kandiaro, and handed over to relatives after the post-mortem.
