KARACHI, July 14: Eight ships carrying DAP fertiliser, rock phosphate and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Calvin P. Titus to unload and load containers, New Setokaze to offload palm oil and Singa Agra to offload chemicals were berthed.

But on the other hand sailing was active as eight vessels, Shemroad Haya, Wilma, Iran Hesabi, Banglar Maya, Full Wealth, Lucky Arrow, Hyundai Sprinter and Calvin P. Titus left the port.

While Alexa-M, Federak St. Laurent, New Setokaze and Cruiser are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves failed to expand owing to lesser handling of liquid tonnage at 61,389 tons comprising 23,574 tons of export cargo including 4,016 tons of cement and 37,815 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Johar with crude oil, Bunga Delima, Wan Hai-303, Oel Shreyas, Iran Shahryar, Ever Govern with containers, Bao Ning with 18,812 tons of DAP fertiliser and Fatima-1 with rock phosphate.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Swat with crude oil, Sinar Bandung, Jitra Bhum and Wai Al-Rayan with containers and Nordana Andrea with project cargo.
