PESHAWAR, July 13: Some people of Sheikhan, a suburban village of Peshawar, have sought the help of the NWFP governor and the chief minister in getting registered an FIR into the murder of one of their relatives.

Talking to newsmen on Friday, they said that their rival group fired 15 rockets on their houses on June 30, killing one, Malang, and causing heavy losses to their properties.

They alleged that the local police had refused to register the FIR against the attackers.

They said they had a dispute with their rivals on the possession of a piece of land. Elders tried to solve the issue through negotiations, they said, and alleged that the rival group was not ready for talks.
