PESHAWAR, July 13: Political Affairs Minister and PML-Q provincial president Engr Amir Muqam has urged party workers to start preparation for the upcoming general elections and mobilise the party at the grassroots level.

Talking to party’s office barriers on Friday, he said that the PML-Q would participate in the elections on the basis of its performance.

The minister said that the ongoing developmental projects in the Malakand division would be completed soon and would usher in an era of prosperity. Projects like Lowari, NCC Nowshera Chitral Road, Kurrum Tangi dam, Gomal Zam dam and Daimir Bhasha dam were some of the projects for the development of the NWFP, he said, adding that telephone, gas and electricity infrastructure was being provided in neglected areas. Mr Muqam said that construction of a sports stadium in Swat, upgradation of Saidu Hospital, establishment of Cadet College in Chitral, provision of Astroturf for a hockey stadium and the construction of roads in Chakdara, Kalam, Khwazakhela, Bisham, Nowshera-Chakdara-Chitral Road and Lowari tunnel project would be completed soon.—APP
