KARACHI: Inquiry officer named

KARACHI, July 12: The High Court of Sindh has appointed Justice Nadeem Azhar Siddiqui as inquiry officer to conduct an inquiry against Gurmukhdas G. Gehani, civil judge and judicial magistrate, Kamber, facing charges of misconduct.

According to an order issued by the Member Inspection Team-I, High Court of Sindh, Karachi, the inquiry shall be conducted under provisions of the Sindh Civil Servants (Efficiency'& Discipline) Rules, 1973 and report will be forwarded to the authorised officer within 15 days of conclusion of the proceedings.

Posting ordered

The Sindh High Court has ordered the posting of the district and sessions judge, Syed Mohammad Jamil Raza Zaidi, currently working as project director, Access to Justice Programme, as district and sessions judge, Tharparkar at Mithi with immediate effect.

His posting has been ordered vice Mohammad Riaz Rajput, district and sessions Judge, who has been transferred to join his new assignment as judge, accountability court-IV, in Karachi.—APP
