Inspector held for graft

LAHORE, July 9: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE), Lahore, on Monday arrested a police inspector on charges of bribery. A case has been registered on the complaint of Malik Mustafa of Faisalabad against inspector Hafizur Rahman for receiving a gratification of Rs125,000 and a mobile phone.

ACE Deputy Director (investigation) Muhammad Zafar had constituted a team under the supervision of Assistant Director Mustansar Atta, which apprehended the inspector who was recently appointed at the special branch.

The accused has been sent to jail who will be produced before the court for a judicial remand on Tuesday (today). — APP
