KARACHI, July 9: Eight ships carrying containers, rock phosphate and coal and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where nine ships were berthed during the last two days, notable among them being Kota Ganteng, Empress Phoenix, Bunga Terasek, Gallant Wave to unload and load containers, Asian Queen to load cement, Full Wealth to unload rock phosphate and Lalazar to unload crude oil.

Sailing was also maintained on the higher side as 10 ships, Conti harmony, Maldive Cement, Rose, Overseas Jacmar, Kota Ganteng, Empress Phoenix, Danum and Bunga Persake departed, while Silver Sun, Gallatn Wave, Global Price, Mol Silver Fern and Mole Ability are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.192m tons comprising 32,239 tons of export cargo including 8,628 tons of cement and 0.160m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Oriental Telip with aviation gas, Shemroad Haya to load 5,500 tons of ethanol, Amasis, APL Yokohama, Oel Spirit, Oel Trust with containers, Fatima-1 with rock phosphate and Alexam with coal.
