KARACHI, July 6: The Sindh National Party (SNP) staged a demonstration here on Friday in protest against the demolition of houses in old villages and rampant land-grabbing in the city.

Carrying banners and placards, a large number of SNP activists, led by its Secretary- General, Dilshad Bhutto, and another leader Ramzan Buledi, marched through the streets of Abdullah Goth and held a demonstration in front of the Malir Development Authority office. They raised slogans against the government and ‘land mafia’.

Addressing the protesters, the SNP leaders alleged that old settlements in different parts of the city were being razed under a well-thought-out plan while land mafia was out to build highrises on the retrieved lands to make millions.
