Two die in attack on village

KHAIRPUR, July 4: One man was killed and another injured in an attack by 10 unidentified armed men on Koro Phulpoto village, on Tuesday night. Reports said that 10 unidentified armed men attacked the village by opening fire.

Two seriously injured men Panjal Mangi 30 and Arbab Phulpoto 28 were rushed to the Civil Hospital Khairpur.

Panjal died on way to hospital while Arbab was first admitted into the hospital but later referred to the Nawabshah Hospital.

Former UC nazim Khairpur and PPP leader Naban Khan Phulpoto told reporters on Wednesday that bandits also attacked Koro Phulpoto village in the past.

He said the villagers had made an appeal to Khairpur police to establish a police picket in the village but without success.
