MANSEHRA, March 6: The Jamaat-i-Islami, Mansehra, on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration against the killing of Muslims by the extremist Hindus in the communal riots in India.
The protest demonstration led by the JI district Amir Shaukat Ali Khan was taken out from the Markazi Jamia Masjid on Abbottabad Road after the noon prayers.
The protesters after marching through different bazaars assembled in the main Chowk of the city where they were addressed by the JI Amir Shaukat Ali Khan, Naib Amir Mohammad Younis Khattak, the JI district general secretary Dr Tariq Sherazi and the JUI(S) leader Maulana Qazi Rafiq-ur-Rehman Qamar.
The speakers severely condemned the silence of the Muslim Ummah on the communal violence in India and killing of the Muslims.
They also criticised the rulers in Pakistan for not paying heed towards the plight of the Muslims in India and accused them of playing in the hands of the anti-Islamic forces.
They lamented that the anti-Islamic forces were carrying the genocide of Muslims in Kosovo, Chechnya, Palestine, Kashmir and India but the military rulers of Pakistan have joined hands with them.
