KARACHI: Saddar Town budget

KARACHI, July 2: The town council has approved a surplus budget of Rs815 million which shows a saving of Rs1.446 million. Speaking at the budget session, Town Nazim Mohammad Dilawar said that the town administration gave top priority to the civic issues.

He said that in a short span of 20 months, work on several schemes lying unattended to for many years had been undertaken and completed.

He said one per cent tax had been levied on property transfer to enhance the income of the town.

Subsequently, it would also accelerate the pace of development works, he added.
