QUETTA, June 30: Provincial Minister for Industry Mir Ghafoor Lahri received injuries in a road accident on Saturday near Bolan district’s Aab-i-Gum area. His bodyguard died on the spot and two others, including his driver and another guard, were hurt.

The minister was on his way to the flood-hit areas of Nasirabad district when his vehicle overturned after crossing Mach, police said.

The injured minister and others were shifted to a civil hospital in Sibi. Later, the minister was taken to Quetta. “The minister’s condition is stable and out of danger,” police said, adding that the accident took place due to over speeding. —Staff Correspondent
