KOHAT, June 24: Three army personnel have been kidnapped from the Kachai area in the jurisdiction of Ustarzai police station where they had gone to get amulets from a shrine on Saturday.

Police refused to disclose the identity of the kidnapped men but said that their vehicle number 747-ACY-Sindh was found near the border of Orakzai Agency. A case has been registered.

The armymen had come from Miramshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan Agency, to visit Pir Yaqoot to get amulets.

HIGHWAY ROBBERS: Highway robbers looted drivers of three containers carrying goods from Karachi to Afghanistan in Darra Adamkhel area on Friday night.

Complainants in their report lodged with the Akhorwal checkpoint said that some armed men forced them to stop and deprived them of cash, watches and mobile phones worth about Rs150,000.

Drivers Qudrat Wali, Zarwali and Naraey Khan said the robbers also tried to break open one of the containers but failed.
