Water project

SUKKUR, June 22: The federal government has withdrawn the condition to carry out construction work on a mega water purification project in the Sukkur city through the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), says a press release issued by the District Nazim Sukkur secretariat.

The government through a letter allowed the Nazim Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and the DCO Shafique Ahmed Khoso to hire a private firm for carrying out construction work of mega water project with an amount of Rs650 million allocated by the federal government, it further said.

Ecnec conditionally accorded approval for the project that construction work would be completed by the FWO which demanded Rs1,250 million due to which the project was delayed for last several years.—APP
