KARACHI, June 22: Nine ships carrying DAP fertiliser and to load cement and naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Jon Jin-2 to offload fertiliser, Bright Ocean-2 to unload and load general cargo and Viscaya and Four Bay, oil tankers were berthed.

Four vessels including Harmony, Conti Germany, Johar and Dream Beauty departed on Friday, while Hyundai Advance, Y.N. Energy, Al-Jaber, Bright Ocean-2, Eric G. Gibson, Four Bay, Effy-N and Hartati are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as the total tonnage handled on Friday rose to 0.107m tons comprising 25,257 tons of export cargo and 81,365 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Chemstar Brave with chemicals, Prem Pride to load naphtha, CMA CGM Gardenia, Wan Hai-301 and Jitra Bhum with containers, Chotlinad Tradition and Hangin Istanbul with DAP fertiliser and Lucky Arrow to load 11,000 tons of cement.
