Cattle shows

LAHORE, March 4: The Punjab Livestock Department will organize cattle shows in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura and Sahiwal in connection with the celebrations of Jashn-i-Baharan, says a handout.

In Lahore, a milk producing competition among Neeli Ravi buffaloes will be held on March 9 and 10 which will be participated in by livestock breeders from all over the province.

Livestock secretary Akhlaq Ahmad will distribute cash prizes amounting to Rs2,500, Rs1,500 and Rs1,000 among the first, second and third position holders, respectively.

Another competition will be held from March 13 to 15 at Malik Sardar Ali Dogar cattle farm in Sahohi Malyan, Sheikhupura district.

In Sahiwal district, the Jashn-i-Baharan will be celebrated from March 4 to 7.
