Two injured on resistance

LAHORE, June 19: Robbers shot at two young men on resistance in separate incidents in the city on Tuesday. Shahzad of Shefeeqabad came to Regal Chowk along with his friend, Khalid, for shopping. They were going on a motorcycle when two armed men, also riding a bike, tried to stop them. Khalid accelerated his two-wheeler and the robbers opened fire on them.

Shahzad sustained bullets injuries and was taken to Mayo Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.

Rashid was standing near the Lady Wallingdon Hospital when two armed men tried to snatch his cell phone. On resistance, they fired at Rashid and took away his cell phone.

The injured man was taken to hospital.

Four car-riders deprived Raheel of Rs400,000 in cash near the Kali Kothi stop in Iqbal Town.

Three robbers barged into the flat of Ahmed Gulzar at Saddique Trade Centre in Gulberg and took away Rs20,000 in cash and four diamond sets.

Four armed men took away Rs30,000 in cash, jewellery and six cell phones from a house in Township.

Two gun-toting men burst into a cell phone outlet on Queens Road and managed their escape with cash and six cell phones.

As many robbers forced their entry into the house of Zafar in Shalamar and made off with cash and jewellery.

Two armed men robbed a passer-by of his wallet and a cell phone on Waris Road.
