LAHORE, June 19: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal president Qazi Husain Ahmad on Tuesday condemned what he called `target killing’ of Jamaat workers in Karachi alleging that such a witch-hunt was being planned by the Presidency and the Governor’s House in Karachi.

In a press statement, the JI amir alleged that the MQM was responsible for the murder of jamaat activist Mohsin Khan in Karachi, the largest city of the country which had been held hostage to violence and terrorism by the same organisation.

The Jamaat amir expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Mohsin Khan and sympathised with the family, requesting the deceased’s relatives and other people of Karachi to remain peaceful.

BALOCH: Jamaat Punjab president Liaquat Baloch also condemned the murder and called for the arrest of his killers.

In a separate press statement issued here on Tuesday, Mr Baloch also levelled allegations on the MQM which, he said, was a fascist organisation.
