Bank manager, NGO chief kidnapped

BANNU, June 18: Unidentified people on Monday kidnapped the executive chairman of an NGO and a bank manager from the Mameshkhel area of the Frontier Region Bannu, police said.

The NGO official, Hafiz Tajdar, was kidnapped from the Mameshkhel area. Witnesses said that five people forced Mr Tajdar to sit in their vehicle.

The bank manager, Sardar Ahmad, was coming from Mirali, North Waziristan Agency, to Bannu when armed men forced him to get out of the coach he was travelling in and took him to an unidentified location.
