KHAAR, June 18: Three government employees were wounded when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb near the Afghan border in the Bajaur Agency on Monday, officials said.

The incident occurred in the Mina area of the Mamond tehsil. Muharar Haji Mohammad Habib, a Levy personnel Mohammad Jan and driver Nazir Khan suffered injuries and were taken to the agency headquarters hospital in Khaar where doctors said their condition was stable.

Sources said that the employees had gone to Mamond tehsil to resolve a dispute among tribesmen.

A group of militants held a meeting in the troubled agency on Sunday and denounced sabotage activities in the area. The militants, whose faces were covered, assured full support to the tribesmen to maintain peace in the area.
