PESHAWAR, March 4: The Pak-Japan Cultural Association, NWFP chapter, has decided to hold three social events here on March 16 to strengthen the cordial and friendly relations between Pakistan and Japan.

The decision was taken at a meeting, held here the other day, with the association president, Prof Surgeon Mohammad Kabir, in the chair.

According to the programme, a speech contest among school students will be held at the Nishtar Hall from 9:30am to 11:30am. A programme for women has been arranged at the Diabetic Centre in Phase-5, Hayatabad, from 12:30am to 2:30pm.

Those interested in attending the programme have been advised to register their names at the association head office at 14/D (2)/34-A, Circular Road, University Town, Peshawar.

An Ikebana demonstration devoted to the Japanese style of arranging flowers will be held at the main auditorium hall of the Kabir Medical College at 57 Gulmohar Lane, University Town Peshawar, at 4pm.
