ACBS chief to preside over AGM

KARACHI, June 13: President of the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS) Sindhu Pulsirivong of Thailand is due to arrive from Bangkok on Thursday to chair the 23rd annual general meeting of the body slated for Friday.

The ACBS Secretary Syed Mahboob, who hails from Bangladesh, has arrived in the city the other day.

The secretary has already circulated a 13-point agenda to members which among others include confirmation of minutes of the last AGM held in Colombo, approve the audited statement of accounts for the period of Jan 1-Dec 31, 2006, to receive report from the hosts of 23rd Asian Snooker Championship besides receiving reports on the IBSF, WCBS, Doha Asian Games, and to review the progress made towards SEA Games and second Macau Asian indoor Games.

The meeting will also finalise venues for the ninth Asian U-21, seventh Asian billiards and 24th Asian Snooker Championship.
