Man killed

SHIKARPUR, June 13: A man was shot dead over old enmity in the Lakhi Ghulam Shah area on Wednesday. Reports received here said that a group of armed men, believed to be belonging to Mahar tribe, intercepted a Madeji-bound wagon near the Lakhi police station, singled out one of its passengers, Saibto Tarat Jatoi, and shot him dead.

Sabhagi, the mother of Saibto who accompanied him, fell unconscious as she witnessed the killing of her son.

The motive behind the murder is said to be an old enmity. The Lakhi police handed over the body to the relatives of the deceased after post-mortem. No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.

According to the police, the deceased was wanted in some murder cases. —Correspondent
