MANSEHRA, June 10: Female members of the district council have threatened that if the district government fails to earmark funds for their honoraria and share in the development budget, they will boycott the budget session of the council.

Councillor Syeda Gulnaz Shah on Sunday said that at the advent of the present local government system the government had announced that honorarium would be paid to female councillors but all claims had proved false.

She said that in the pre-budget meeting of the district council the other day, female councillors had made it clear to Nazim Sardar Yousuf that if honorarium was not fixed for them, they would launch agitation and organise protest processions.
