COLOMBO, June 8: Sri Lanka’s cricket administration on Friday made a fresh attempt to dump chief selector Asantha de Mel in a row over the controversial Abu Dhabi One-day International (ODI) series.

Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge said he had received a list of 10 names of which four are to be picked for the selection panel, but de Mel was not among them.

“I did receive a list sent by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), but Asantha de Mel’s name is not in the list,” Lokuge said.
