Lawyer jailed for contempt of court

RAHIM YAR KHAN, June 3: The district and sessions court judge has sent a lawyer to jail for contempt of court.

A few days ago, during the hearing of a case lawyer Muhammad Shafiq Pia accused District and Sessions Court Judge Syed Akhtar Husain Zahid of committing corruption on which the judge sentenced him for six months imprisonment for contempt of court. Police arrested Pia on Saturday night. Pia is the spouse of District Bar Association Vice President Rukhsana Pia.
