Two killed in clash

SHIKARPUR, June 3: Two people were killed and two others received bullet injuries in a clash in Pitafi Marfani village in the jurisdiction of Garhi Yasin police station on Sunday evening.

According to reports reaching here, a group of armed men belonging to Brohi clan attacked the village with automatic weapons.

As a result of firing, two people including Mehar Shar, a guest of the Marfanis and a boy, Irfan Ali Marfani 10, died. Two others, Malook Marfani and his son Ghulam Marfani, were seriously injured. They were taken to a hospital.

The reason behind the clash is said to be the ongoing tribal feud between Marfanis and Brohis. No FIR was registered till the filing of this report. Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased and villagers blocked the road, by putting the bodies at Soan Wah bus stop on Garhi Yasin-Ratodero road.
