NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 2: An all-party conference demanded on Saturday that chief secretary Sindh should ensure impartial survey and measurement of a high school playground which had been claimed by an encroacher.

Local leaders of Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League-n, Awami Tehrik, Sindh National Party, Jeay Sindh Mahaz and Sindh Sagar Party who attended the conference blamed the DCO of Naushahro Feroze Nazar Mohammad Kalhoro for supporting the encroacher and urged the chief secretary to pay a visit to the ground.

They alleged that the district government was protecting the encroacher and the shops he had constructed on a portion of the ground. When the DCO had called meetings with them they thought he was sincere to solve the problem but later it was proved that he just wanted to save the encroacher, they said.

They said that people of adjoining villages were well aware of the fact that there was neither any land owned by the encroacher adjacent to the school ground nor was there any land available for purchase. —Correspondent
