QUETTA, May 31: The women’s wing of the Balochistan Punjabi Ittehad has condemned the military operation in Balochistan and urged the government to arrest the elements who are attacking settlers in the province.

Addressing a press conference at the press club here on Thursday, Nuzhat Iftikhar and Tahira Yasmeen, chairperson and general secretary of BPI, said that the settlers were feeling insecure.

They said that four days ago a bomb was hurled at the house of BPI chief Dr Aziz Qureshi and on Wednesday a hairdresser’s shop on Sariab road was attacked with a grenade, killing an innocent person.

They said the settlers had made Balochistan their home and they had nothing to do with the centre or any other province, adding that innocent settlers should not be punished for the differences between Balochistan and the rulers in Islamabad.

The said that the BPI always condemned the excesses of the rulers against the Baloch people and supported the just struggle of the people of Balochistan for their rights.
