KARACHI, May 31: Five ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are due arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Oel Express, Y.M. Star and Hyundai Stride with containers and Gretke Oldendroff to unload and load general cargo were berthed.

Five ships, APL Shenzhen, Al-Abdullah, Y.M. Faha, Kee Lung and Gretke Oldendroff departed on Thursday, while Golden Lion, Hyundai Stride, Pacific Arrow, Y.M. Star, Oel Express, Kota Gentong are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 71,966 tons comprising 12,100 tons of export cargo including 5,892 tons of clinker and 59,866 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Calvin P Titus with containers, Good Trade with coal, Zahra-4 to load cement, Antette Scan with machinery and Uthai Navee with general cargo.
