QUETTA, May 30: Law-enforcement personnel arrested 11 tribal militants and found a huge quantity of arms and ammunition during a search operation in a village near Dera Allahyar area of the Jaffarabad district on Wednesday.

Official sources said that the security personnel, acting on a tip-off, cordoned off the Chitnpati village in Dera Allahyar area and took the eleven suspects into custody during the operation.

"The suspects were involved in subversive activities in Nasirabad and Jaffarabad districts," the sources said, adding that all arrested men had been taken to Sui for further interrogation.

They said that the village belonged to Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti, a grandson of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.
