Old man found murdered

LAHORE, May 28: An old man was found murdered in Sherakot on Monday.

Police said they recovered an unidentified body from a park adjacent to the Motorway II on the information of locals.

They suspected that someone had hit his head with some heavy object.

ACCIDENT: A 35-year-old man was run over and killed by a train near Datanagar Bridge in Lorry Adda on Monday.

Police said Muhammad Ali was crossing the rail track when he was run over by the Sialkot Express.

Police handed over the body to his father Muhammad Saleem.

KITE FLYERS: Lower Mall police on Monday arrested two kite flyers and registered cases against them under Anti-Kite Flying Act.

Shafiq of Malik Park and Haneef of Munshi Hospital areas were flying kites on their rooftops.

Shop looted: Three robbers plundered a cell phone outlet in the Factory Area here on Monday.

They barged into the shop at Main Bazaar, held the owner at gunpoint, collected cash, cell phones and calling cards worth thousands of rupees and escaped.

Two gunmen intercepted a woman on Pir Ghazi Road in Ichhra and snatched Rs5,000 in cash, a cell phone and jewellery.

Three robbers deprived a man in Badami Bagh of Rs5,000 in cash and a cell phone while two armed men snatched the wallet and a cell phone from a passer-by in Garden Town.
