Kasuri leaves for Germany today

ISLAMABAD, May 26: Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri on Sunday will embark on an important tour of Germany where he will first attend the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Hamburg on May 28-29 and later participate in the meeting of the G-8 Foreign Ministers on Afghanistan in Potsdam along with his Afghan counterpart.

Mr Kasuri will be accompanied by senior foreign ministry officials.

A statement issued by the foreign minister’s office said: “The issues that are likely to come up under discussion are Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Middle East peace process, energy, counter-terrorism and interfaith dialogue.”
