PESHAWAR, March 1: The State Life Field Workers Federation of Pakistan has criticized the recently-promulgated State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC) field structure.

The SLIC field workers also opposed the 20 per cent cut on the field commission by the corporation, says a press release issued on Friday by the additional general-secretary of the federation, Sultan Mehmood.

They termed the corporation’s decision to curtail expenses by reducing the commission of field workers from 78 per cent to 58 per cent, unjust.

The federation appealed to the federal commerce minister and other quarters concerned to save the workers from the reduction in their remuneration.

They said it would be difficult for the field workers to sustain their families in the face of the prevailing price-hike in the country if the decision was not reversed.
