DERA GHAZI KHAN, May 23: The staff of anti-polio campaign engaged in a three-day vaccination campaign has been told to attend the gathering of President General Pervez Musharraf today (Thursday) at Sports Stadium.

The staff said they had been told that their attendance would be marked at the gathering place.

One staff member said that many staffers were happy that instead of visiting door-to-door, they would spend their time in the air-conditioned ground.

The district government has declared May 24 a holiday.

Opposition parties and lawyers announced they would observe the day as black day and take out a protest rally against the arrival of the general.
