ISLAMABAD, May 22: The Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) here on Tuesday held a protest rally to condemn the Karachi killings of May 12.

Nazim IJT Nasrullah Khan Goraya, Islam Khan and Khalid Waqas Chamkani led the rally participated by scores of students from International Islamic University, Quaid-i-Azam University, Arid Agriculture University, Engineering University Taxila and Federal Urdu University.

The students were carrying placards and banners inscribed with anti-MQM and anti-government slogans.

The rally started from China Chowk and culminated in front of the Supreme Court building.

Speaking on occasion, MMA deputy secretary general Liaquat Baloch said a national commission should be formed to probe into the Karachi mayhem.

He said May 12 would be remembered as the blackest day in the history of Karachi.—PPI
