HYDERABAD, May 22: The annual examinations (2007) of Higher Secondary Certificate (part-I and II) in all groups began here on Tuesday under the management of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad.

The controller of examinations, BISE, Hyderabad, has said that over 61,000 candidates of Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Mohammad Khan, Badin, Thatta, Dadu, Nawabshah and Jamshoro districts are appearing in the examinations of Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, Humanities, Commerce and General Science Groups.

A total of 107 examinations centres have been established for the candidates. The examinations began in a peaceful atmosphere, he said and added that on the request of the board, the district nazims of Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Mohammad Khan, Badin, Thatta, Dadu, Nawabshah and Jamshoro under section 144 Cr. P.C. have declared the examination centres as protected areas and imposed a ban on the entry of unauthorised persons in the examination centres. —APP
