KARACHI: BCom-I marks sheets

KARACHI, May 17: The controller of examination, University of Karachi announced that marks of Islamic Studies and Pakistan Studies, included in BCom-I marks sheets (regular 2006) would be excluded at the time of marking the divisions for BCom final next year.

According to a KU notification issued here on Thursday, the two subjects are compulsory and students will be required to obtain minimum passing marks.

AFFILIATION: The Secretary, Affiliation Committee of KU, Dr Sohail Barkati has said the present status of the affiliated institutions needs to be reviewed.

In a press release, he stated the university was reviewing its criteria regarding administrative setup, pattern of internal evaluation, faculty recruitment etc.

It had been decided that requests for fresh affiliation of institutions would be considered and processed after completion of review process, he added.

He said new dates for application, however, would be announced later.--PPI
