Peace rally today

LAHORE, May 15: The Committee for People’s Rights will organise a peace rally and the Labour Party Pakistan will light candles in the city on Wednesday (today).

The peace procession meant for condemning the killing of innocent people in Karachi and Peshawar as a result of government policies will start from the Lahore Press Club at 10am and the participants will march to the Assembly Chambers.

The Lahore Bar, the Lahore High Court Bar Association, the Women Action Forum, the Labour Party Pakistan, the Reformation Society, the Muttahida Labour Federation, the Alao, the Alap, the Youth Vision, the Socialist Movement, the Pakistan Socialist Party, the Citizens Rights Council, the Sahour, the Quaid-i-Azam Human Rights Commission, the Peoples Rights Movement, the Pattan Development Organisation, the Alfa Institute for Peace and Secular Studies, the Jamhoori Aman Party, the Policy Dialogue Forum, the Bonded Labour Federation, the Nirwan, the Peoples Workers Front and a number of other civil society organisations will participate in the rally.

The Labour Party will condole the deaths of the people killed in Karachi and Peshawar by lighting candles at the Charing Cross at 8pm.
