JACOBABAD: Man, woman shot dead

JACOBABAD, May 14: Ms Bakhtawar 22, and Rano Katto 45, were shot dead allegedly Ghulam Sarwar Katto in the jurisdiction of Mubarakpur police station, Thul taluka on Monday.

According to reports, Ms Bakhtawar was in her home when his brother Ghulam Sarwar Katto entered with a gun and opened fire on her. She died on the spot. Later, Ghulam Sarwar came to the fields and fired on Rano Katto, also killing him instantly.

The man made good his escape. No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report. The incedent was said to be a case of honour killing.

ACCIDENT: A Jacobabad-bound speedy van overturned near Khair Bux Brohi village in the jurisdiction of Dil Murad police station on Monday.

According to reports, eight people were injured, two of them seriously.
