SHEIKHUPURA, May 10: Lawyers in Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Ferowala and Sangla Hill staged rallies to condemn firing at the residence of SCBA president Munir A Malik in Karachi. Addressing lawyers, Sheikhupura bar president Nasrullah Wattoo said the government was harassing Mr Malik.

Through a resolution, the bar demanded a judicial inquiry and action against the culprits.

Through another resolution, the lawyers community said the MQM rally was not justified on the same day on Saturday.

Similar resolutions were passed by the Nankana, Ferozewala and Sangla bar associations.
