KARACHI, May 9: Jinnah Cricket Club and Tapal Cricket Club won their respective matches in the KCCA Super League Colour-kit tournament at different grounds here on Tuesday.

Jinnah CC defeated Malir Companion by three wickets as the former achieved their target of 143 in 34.4 overs while losing seven wickets at the KCCA Stadium. For Jinnah CC, Asif Mazhar (45) was the top scorer while Saeed Mutahir also played well for his 34.

Earlier, due to deadly bowling by Abbas Irshad who grabbed 4-17, Jinnah CC dismissed Malir Companion for only 142 in 34.3 overs in a 35-overs-per-side match. Athar Ali (40) remained the highest scorer for Malir Companion.

Meanwhile, Tapal CC registered their victory in the tournament, outclassing New United Gymkhana by seven wickets at the TMC ground.

Good batting displays by Babar Rehman (73), Ahmed Zeeshan (65) and Zahid Ghouri (60) gave Tapal CC a well-earned victory.
