Man kills spouse of ex-wife

LAHORE, May 9: A man allegedly stabbed to death the husband of his ex-wife in Harbanspura on Wednesday. Police said Sharafat Ali of New Karim Park, Lohaywala Chowk, Fatehgarh, had divorced his wife, Farida, who contracted the second marriage with Shoaib, 40, of Ghaziabad. Sharafat wanted to remarry Farida and asked Shoaib to divorce her, but he refused to do so.

On Wednesday, Sharafat visited Shoaib’s house and attacked him with a knife. The injured was pronounced dead at hospital. The police have registered a case and shifted the body for autopsy.

POISONED: An unidentified man was poisoned to death allegedly by some swindlers in Shafiqabad on Wednesday.

Police found a person, about 50, lying unconscious at Battiwala Chowk and took him to hospital where he expired.

Police believed that someone had administered poison to him.—Staff Reporter
