Lahore Whites win title

KARACHI, May 7: Lahore Whites clinched the National Seniors Cricket Championship crown when they thrashed Afroze Textile Mills (ATM) by seven wickets in the final at National Stadium on Sunday.

Imtiaz Safdar cracked 104 off only 87 balls with 13 boundaries as ATM collected 233 for nine in 35 overs. Left-arm spinner Imtiaz Shah captured three for 53.

Lahore Whites, in reply, lost only three wickets before winning in 33 overs. Ghaffar Kazmi hit 88 with nine boundaries and Ameer Akbar cracked an unbeaten 76, laced with 10 fours.
